Lorenzo De Zavala Lodge No. 1397 A.F. & A.M. received its charter from the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1962. For over 60 years we have been proud to be an integral part the Houston Heights community.
Our membership is a diverse group, we come from different backgrounds and cultures, we have different skills and experience, but we share a bond and a set of values that promote integrity, friendship, respect, and service. We are dedicated to fostering fraternal fellowship, and engaging with our neighbours in meaningful community service.
When we meet
We hold our monthly Stated Meeting on the second Monday of each month. Dinner is at 6.30 pm and then we open the Lodge at 7.30 pm.
Texas Masons and those from a jurisdiction in amity with the Grand Lodge of Texas are welcome to attend our Stated Meetings.
If you are not yet a Mason you are welcome to visit the Lodge, join us for dinner, and find out more about becoming a Freemason.
We also meet most Monday and Thursday evenings for fellowship, ritual practise, and to support our candidates.
To confirm that we are meeting please check our calendar before you visit, or contact us here for more information.
What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest fraternity. Its origins can be traced back to medieval stonemasons, though it was the formation of The Grand Lodge of England in 1717 that marks the beginning of modern Freemasonry.
Today, our fraternity brings together men from every religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion, and we meet together as equals in Lodges across the country and across the world. Read more…
